The Health Awareness & Prevention Ministry seeks to be a comprehensive health risk reduction program to address the mental, physical and spiritual needs of the congregation and the community-at-large. The ministry engages health professionals from within the congregation and surrounding community to provide information and to inspire the congregation and community to action with regard to their health. The programs of the ministry focus on raising awareness about and prevention of the numerous chronic and infectious diseases that disproportionately affect communities of color.
Standard Meeting: 3rd Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
DOCTORS’ MINISTRY – seeks to enlighten, encourage, engage and empower the faith community by enlisting their individual participation to enhance their physical and mental health.
Standard Meeting: Fall & Spring as scheduled
NURSES’ MINISTRY – works to care for the membership of Grace during church services, funerals, health fairs, etc. The ministry also participates in community outreach efforts and visits the sick and shut-in.
Standard Meeting: 3rd Saturday of the month, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
EXERCISE & FITNESS – programs seek to enhance the bodies and minds of the Grace community through physical activity. Participants stretch, jog, workout with weights, and engage in calisthenics and Zumba.
Standard Meeting: Monday, 7:00 p.m. (Zumba) & Thursday, 7:00 p.m. (Body Conditioning & Fitness)
